From my perspective as a govt officer, this is a very positive & necessary initiative. it not only cuts middlemen, but also reduces unnecessary cost, & promotes transparency. However, im worried that someone might file a lawsuit & the court could annul this decision.

@swarsirohiya Even though advertising agencies offer 20-30% discount on paper, the reality inside govt offices is different. The officials receive commission as high as 50% under d table. When a single notice costs around 100k on avg, u can imagine d scale at which govt budget is being misused

Govt just killed private media ad revenue. Good. It was a corrupt 300cr racket 70% eaten by middlemen. We didn’t depend on this, we’ll survive. We always do. 🫡

The ones most likely to suffer would be ordinary people who don’t have proper access to banking services

Please do not follow the populist rhetoric and go for demonetization like India did in 2016. It doesn't work, only causes pain to the poor & huge economic loss to the nation. There are much better ways to go after the corrupt.
