Might sound insensitive but crowdfunding 40m to straighten someone’s leg doesn’t make sense to me. It is not a life threatening condition neither does the straight leg give any form of return or impact his earnings significantly. For example, crowdfunding to give an athlete a leg surgery will save their career and give financial returns. If it was 5 or even 10m, ok. But 40m? Especially in a country like ours where people are going through more severe health problems and need finances, it doesn’t make sense. I don’t even want to go into this their so called miscommunication. Because there’s no way from first contact with the influencers to fund raising to surgery to his return, it wasn’t communicated that the operation was for one leg till today. I no dey wear pampers.

- You assumed @Wizarab10 knew the surgery covered just one leg. He was actively posting and advocating, but never communicated that the funds were only for a single procedure - You stayed silent while your circle dismissed and gaslit people who were simply asking reasonable questions, until it became evident that people are asking sensitive questions - Many people have asked about your own financial contribution. By your own statement, you saved about N2 million from your earnings and gigs, so it’s fair for people to understand how that fits into the overall cost after deducting from the N19 million naira - It also comes across as though you underestimated people’s ability to think critically, because there was no clear, detailed explanation before you began soliciting funds again for the second surgery. You were clearly feeling entitled while transferring the entire financial burdens on Nigerians. As someone who’s both empathetic and logical, I’d strongly suggest you revisit your speech 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️

Hospitals give receipts with hospital letterheads for procedures done. You know this better than anyone. What you have attached is an estimate from an agency in NIGERIA. You dont owe me an explanation but the sensible thing to do is to request a receipt from the hospital for the first surgery. They're are obligated to provide it if you request it. That will reduce the doubt and earn people's trust. This is common sense and should be obvious by now. Don't mention.

We're about to raise over 38M for a guy who lives comfortably, never worries about his next meal, uses the latest gadgets in a country where there's hunger and starvation, to do what? Not to save life but to fix his personal insecurity. The concern isn’t about whether he deserves support or not. it’s about how the message is being communicated yesterday. I believe there would be far less backlash if either Sir Dickson or Baddy clearly broke things down. For example: if the total cost of the second surgery is 19 million naira, and Baddy has already been able to raise or save 3–5 million, then the public can be asked to help cover the remaining balance. That kind of transparency would make a big difference.
