I love a good modern AU but every time I see one Katara’s always in the medical field and I just have to power through my “she would not do this” brain worm to enjoy it lol genuinely she would become a social worker or a human rights attorney before going into medicine

All so she could interrogate her enemies with a saintly facade while they collapsed, vomited, or wept in terror. 4. Avatar Yangchen turned the sacred Northern Air Temple into a secret prison, keeping combustionbenders in sensory deprivation torture for years. She forced pacifist monks to act as jailers, prioritizing global security over her own culture's sanctity. This eventually led to her banishment from the Northern Air Temple. While Yangchen was a Saint to the world, she understood that a world without war required a leader willing to get their hands dirty, proving that the greatest act of service is being the monster so no one else has to be. Which of her acts were most unbecoming of her Air Nomad lineage?

They forget that 16-year-old Aang canonically looks like he was birthed by the heavens. He would NOT look like the monks in the flashbacks, even at 60.
