Trade prediction markets with up to 100x+ leverage. Multi chain, ZK-settled on Midnight Policy ID: eb7a93ebc321647673490810f618b548d7c24aa64d30ae342dba7076

Ascend Architecture Overview 🏗️ This post breaks down how Ascend actually works. Engines, execution flow, risk model, account architecture, and why it's built for institutional-scale. Ascend is a fully verifiable events perpetuals platform enabling leveraged trading on outcome probabilities. It's the first protocol to bring real perpetuals infrastructure with zk-settlement to prediction markets. Ascend supports Cardano, EVM, Bitcoin and Solana with all trading, risk, account and settlement logic enforced within Midnight, a Cardano partnerchain with multi-resource consensus and native privacy. The platform is inspired by battle-tested trade execution models like GRVT, Lighter and Hyperliquid. Ascend brings perpetuals-grade infrastructure to prediction markets, enforcing all core logic under zero-knowledge proof: > Order execution > Margin and leverage enforcement > Liquidation logic > Event settlement Ascend Engines Rather than the usual split where execution lives off-chain and only settlement touches the chain, Ascend runs protocol logic through a set of engines that each produce a proof: - Matching Engine processes and fills orders across all supported chains. - Risk Engine checks margin, leverage, and position exposure before any trade commits. - Account Engine tracks funding and trading account state, permissions, and linked account hierarchies. - Fund Control Engine handles deposits, withdrawals, and capital movement between accounts. - Event Engine covers market creation, outcome resolution, and settlement. Trade Execution Flow 1. Sign. Orders are signed with native ecosystem credentials (Cardano, EVM, Bitcoin, or Solana). 2. Match. The Matching Engine interprets and fills the order. 3. Validate. Results go through the Risk Engine., 4.Commit. Final state transitions are proven and committed on Midnight. Every step from signature to commit produces a proof. Liquidations work the same way. Margin is evaluated per trading account, liquidation conditions are checked deterministically, and the liquidation only executes if the proof passes. There is no operator discretion in the loop. Account Model Capital and execution are separated into two layers. The Funding Account holds collateral. It handles deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and allocation, and it tracks linked accounts, permissions, and multi-sig thresholds. The Trading Account is where execution actually happens. It runs isolated margin with its own liquidation conditions and tracks positions and funding independently. A single funding account can sit behind multiple trading accounts, which is useful for desks running separate strategies against shared collateral. All account state lives on Midnight as ZK-verified state. Scale This design checks all the boxes institutional funds care about: verifiable execution, isolated margin per trading account, multi-sig on the funding layer, and permissioned account hierarchies. 🔗docs.ascend.market/tech-docs/arch…
