It was a great pleasure and an honor to finally meet the one and only @IOHK_Charles in person! What I can say is that no one, absolutely fucking no one is ready for what is coming! I am so incredibly grateful and excited about the near future!

Anyone can Grok the specific post and have a conversation about it. I urge everyone to do it. The TLDR is: Overall verdict The post correctly identifies real architectural differences and current limitations compared to Ethereum-style chains. Cardano’s EUTXO model trades seamless composability, native events, and certain conveniences for determinism, parallelism, formal verifiability, and security (e.g., no reentrancy exploits). However, the post exaggerates with phrases like “basically impossible to properly add” and “infeasible/blocked.” Cardano’s roadmap explicitly addresses these via: • L2 solutions (Hydra, Midgard) • L1 upgrades (Leios) • Partner chains (Midnight for privacy) These are intentional design choices, not failures that “can’t be fixed.” Progress has been slower than some hoped because of Cardano’s research-first, peer-reviewed approach — which has kept it relatively secure but frustrated users expecting faster feature parity.

@TechnicianCryp1 Ok got it, we need to do the work from our end. Would you be willing to fund an open source implementation for our mobile wallets such as Eternl, Vespr, or Lace?

Tangem uses a different security model with NFC signing, so supporting native Cardano wallets requires those wallets to integrate Tangem’s signing flow. It’s technically possible, especially on mobile devices with NFC, but it requires manual syncing by the user between Tangem and the Cardano wallet. It’s not a limitation of NFC itself. Which Cardano wallet are you trying to use Tangem?

Hot take you'll agree with by the end: the SEED phrase is the worst thing that ever happened to self-custody. Tangem killed it. Your private key is generated on the card, backed up across three cards, and never revealed to you. Hide it from yourself, or hand it to a hacker. Your move. ⚡

@TechnicianCryp1 All the above. Governance is non negotiable, after all our ADA is literally our voting power. What’s the reason Tangem cannot connect with native Cardano wallets? Not even from mobile Apps that have NFC readers?

That’s fair feedback. Seedless self-custody removes a major barrier for newcomers, but broader ecosystem integration is just as important. Expanding support for native staking, governance, DRep delegation, and dApps on networks like Cardano would make Tangem much more practical as a primary wallet rather than mainly a secure storage solution. Which Cardano feature is most important to you today?

I don't usually post my voting rationales here on X (you can imagine why), but in this case I would really like someone to change my mind! So, regarding AlphaGrowth... ======================================== I cannot support this proposal. It requests 80M ADA, plus a 50% performance fee for AlphaGrowth. I am surprised by the level of enthusiasm this proposal has received in the ecosystem. Roughly 1/3 of the funds would go toward LP incentives, essentially paying users to interact with our DeFi protocols. I strongly oppose this approach, as it represents a short term and unsustainable model. Another large portion (nearly half) is allocated to “Ecosystem Grants,” a very vague category with little to no clear explanation of how these funds will be distributed or what outcomes are expected. I am not familiar with AlphaGrowth, but paying them 40M ADA, a significant amount both in absolute terms and as a percentage of the total request, simply to distribute our ADA to various pools, only for them to later list Cardano as a success story on their website, does not seem like a responsible use of treasury funds. This is my current position based on the information available. I will continue to monitor the team and community discussions and remain open to changing my vote if more convincing details emerge.

33% of the treasury withdrawal for fees? Are you out of your fuckin minds? Why everyone is celebrating, I am not voting for more fees than actual LP incentives. Someone please explain that to me.

Hardware wallets are, for the most part, one of the biggest psyops of this entire industry, and widely recognized as bad opsec by security researchers. The mailing and order lists for hardware wallets are some of the most repeatedly hacked and leaked datasets, appearing on blackhat forms year after year. Mailing addresses, names, emails, all of which are perfectly filtered for known value targets. A $300 laptop with no internet hardware is significantly less likely to get you wrench attacked, or get your root keys rugged by an HW wallet backdoor. Also, for the vast majority of users, a hardware wallet won’t save you if your web-wallet is compromised. You would have to review the entire transaction on the 1 by 1 inch hw wallet screen, where most people look at the wallet summary. You’d have to double check every script hash, every destination address of every transaction you sign. In-practice, the number of people who do this approaches zero.

🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨 Vitalik just announced that Ethereum is pivoting to "banking the unbanked", by utilizing decentralization to provide fair financial systems and self-sovereign digital identities to underserved populations in developing regions. Vitalik’s vision centers on "TrueFi" which seeks to connect on chain blockchain capital with real world credit markets in emerging economies.

Not looking good for Cardano 😬
EMURGO@emurgo_io

Today, we formally notified the entities that we will be stepping down from our duties as a member of the Pentad. We want to thank the members for their shared commitment to Cardano throughout our time working alongside them. Our immediate priority is the @secondfiapp recovery process, and we are concentrating our resources where they are needed most. We believe this is the right decision for our users and for the ecosystem, and it reflects the standard of accountability we hold ourselves to as a founding entity of Cardano. As stated by SecondFi, quarantine mode is being enabled this week, letting users check if a wallet address appears in preliminary incident data and submit a support ticket. Our intention is that next week, the secure wallet export will be deployed to help affected users safely move assets to a new wallet. On asset recovery, we continue to make progress with the recovery tool, initiated through a portal, that keeps users in control while protecting their information
