The first person to see Qingxiao wasn't Rover, it was Yangyang. The first one to meet Jingran wasn't Rover either, it was Suisui. And she was also the first to talk to Hsin, not Rover. I don't hate Rover at all, I just really like that they did it this way. It feels refreshing.
Rover is probably the clearest proof that story presentation and model quality really matter. Honestly I agree that Rover's design is pretty average but Wuwa's story presentation and the quality of their character model make Rover feel special.
For anyone who might've forgotten, Rover's trip to Mengzhou is likely to check out the remains of the Court of Savantae and stuff related to the Etheric Sea. So you could say this time the story will focus on Rover and their homeland. It'll probably be packed with lore.
I'm starting to like the New Federation more because they don't even try to sugarcoat their corruption, collusion and nepotism. This might sound weird but I like how they're like how a superpower country is supposed to be.
This whole debate session was really good and it was even better because Lucilla was going up against her own mother. We need more of this in Wuwa. We need more political intrigue.
Back in middle school, I used to go to the mall a lot with my friends and usually one of my friend's dads would come along, not just as the driver but also to keep an eye on us. Rover kinda reminds me of him here. He's got that strong unc vibe.
I like how they literally gave Adam Smasher plot armor because without that armor making Rover's attacks ineffective, he probably would've died the first time he met Rover. No, Adam Smasher isn't weak but just look at the way Rover stares at him. Look at those eyes.
Just a guess but I think one of the reasons the collab story is permanent is because it's tied to Wuwa's lore. There's probably some really important information about Solaris in there. If it's not about Solaris then it could be something related to the moon.
I love how Wuwa's story is full of consequences. What happened to Denia was, in a way, the result of Rover saving Aemeath and this is another consequence of that too. With no Exostrider anymore, the Collective sees the Synchronists as unnecessary now.
I've started noticing something kinda unique to Wuwa players. Wuwa's improvements made them think changing this and that is easy. Don't forget, it took them half a year just to let you fly around Jinzhou and Black Shores. Things aren't as easy as they sound.
No matter how toxic the Wuwa community can get, I've never seen anyone go as far as making accounts pretending to be fans of other games like Endfield or NTE just to hate on Hoyo 24/7. Never. And I hope it stays that way. Don't stoop to their level.
This is why you'll never be able to make me hate Rover. They're basically a god-like being learning how to be human. Their character development is the biggest reason I'm still playing Wuthering Waves to this day.
Rover is literally fighting a black hole in a higher dimensional space. Just think about that for a second. Sit down and let it sink in. The power scale is insane and this is happening way faster than I expected. I have no idea what's waiting for Rover after this.
There's this one gacha community that's basically getting hit with karma right now for all the slander they threw at Wuwa. Everything they accused it of is coming back at them. Now they're scrambling trying to defend themselves. It's honestly pretty entertaining to watch.
When someone's praising Wuwa or saying something nice about it, that's not your cue to start bitching in the replies. If you've got complaints, take that shit to the in-game feedback. People really be treating positive Wuwa posts like a complaint box. Wtf.
I don't think there will be another gacha game like Wuwa where every bit of its progress is closely watched and anticipated, not just by fans but even by haters from other communities. Sometimes those haters end up talking about Wuwa more than the games they actually like.
I like watching stories from other gacha games even if I don't play them, and it makes me realize Wuwa's presentation is on a whole different level. I used to take it for granted, thinking it was easy to pull off, but even newer games still haven't been able to reach that level.
I think Rover's greatest ability is how they always seem calm around women. They're the type of person who, if a woman suddenly kissed them, would just look at her with concern and ask, "Are you okay?"
I've always loved how realistic Rover is when it comes to money. In almost every quest, especially the side ones, they'll always ask about the reward. What's interesting is they don't do that with kids. For kids, it's free. But for everyone else, they better be ready to pay.
I really enjoy these little details like how the students greet Luuk when they pass him, the robot moving to serve him a drink while he explains the situation and that girl waving at Lucilla as she walks by with Lucilla waving back. It really brings the story to life.
