@MothHeaven_ Yeup, it could have been a Lot worse, those lil guys are not to be messed with for sure. thankfully in my case it was an accidental encounter in the woods and very mild but even then it still hurt like a binch

VERY IMPORTANT MOTH PSA (CW: caterpillar sting on the third image) If you ever see a southern flannel moth lay eggs and you wanna try raising its caterpillars (or already found a caterpillar wandering), DO NOT. the caterpillars are intentionally designed to be fluffy to hide their venomous spines and look harmless Their venom causes heavy inflammation that is atrociously painful, it has sent many adults to the hospital and their sting is very dangerous for children or people with health issues Please be careful, as these moths are common in the USA if you live in the right areas, ive attached a map of where they are commonly spotted (This is the third time i mess up posting this lmao my bad)

@MothHeaven_ I was only lightly brushed on the palm but took a few hours for the swelling to go down after getting the hairs out with tape, and it probs took less than a week to fully heal. It being on my palm def helped with pain, with the thicker skin though.
