Ashcombe Volleyball

Under 15 Boys competition at Worthing today. Ashcombe lost in the final to South Hants but we all enjoyed a great tournament organised by Worthing VC.

Ashcombe Under 16 girls beat Malory Eagles and Worthing but lose to South Bucks to come second in yesterdays national competition. Great result for our new crop of young players

Great result for Ashcombe under 16 girls in the Surrey league against university of Royal Holloway. Players aged 12-16 played in the Ashcombe team and although they lost 1-3, taking their first set in this competition was a huge bonus.

Good game even though they lost against a strong experienced Wimbledon team for Ashcombe. Onwards and upwards team.

Good start to the new season for our junior players. Great to see so many of you at our Junior Camp today.

South East teams win both women’s and men’s competitions at under 17 Inter regional beach competition in Cardiff this weekend. Great job both players and coaches.

Great weather, great venue, great people, and the volleyball wasn’t bad either. 1,000 people enjoying Ashcombe hospitality at Dorking RFC under the beautiful back drop of Box Hill. 46 years and counting.

Only 2 sleeps until The Ashcombe Tournament starts. 40 junior teams on Saturday and 85 6 aside teams on Sunday and the weather forecast is hot and sunny. Looking forward to seeing lots of old and new volleyball friends.

14 teams of under 15 girls and boy at Ashcombe today playing in our latest 4 aside tournament. Welcoming teams from Guildford, Maidstone and VBDC Cobham, a new volleyball journey for some.

Congratulations to the Ashcombe players who were part of the U15 and U17 South East girls squads at the IR Champs. 2nd and 5th respectively. Great performance girls.

SEVA mens final yesterday saw Oxford beat Maidenhead 2-1 in the final. Worthing Vipers and Guernsey were the other semi finalists in a very strong tournament held at The Ashcombe Volleyball Centre.

Convincing 3-0 win for Ashcombe Dorking Knights in Div 3 Men SE yesterday over Essex Estonians. Moved up the table to 3rd place. Under 16 Boys and Girls in action in Tier 1 tournaments hosted by Ashcombe too. The Ashcombe Volleyball Centre full of volleyball again.

Last 8 place for Ashcombe Under 15 Boys ranked 5th after the first 2 Grand Prix. Congratulations to our sister club VBDC for doing the same in the girls competition.
