Students in Mrs. Finley’s Apparel II class have worked hard on a variety of projects this semester. They are seen here working on scrap fabric pillows. They also designed bags using a simple pattern made of poster board. We can’t wait to see what they create next!

Two ACHS FFA students have received state FFA Awards. Andruw W. has placed in the top 3 for his work with his sawmill business. He will be awarded final placement at the state convention in June. Paige R. placed 4th for her work with her family beef cattle & Christmas tree farms.

Congratulations to the @AsheCountyHS FFA team, who placed FIRST in the Northwest Region at the NC FFA Agriculture Sales, Farm Management, and Marketing competition last week at University of Mount Olive. This team also placed 16th overall in the state!

Congratulations to 14 @AsheCountyHS early graduates and two Ashe Early College graduates! Everyone was all smiles at the Dec. 4 ceremony. Addison W. won the Ashe Early College BETA Club’s Christmas card design contest and received recognition from Superintendent Dr. @Eisa_Cox.

Ashe County is the largest Christmas tree producing county in the United States! ACHS FFA helped load 581 trees with the Trees for Troops program for Camp Lejeune & Ft. Liberty in NC. Each tree was tagged with a handmade card made by Ashe County Schools students. 🎄🇺🇸

I’m excited for a collaboration between Ashe County Schools and the County of Ashe for students to design and construct a metal structure at the New River Park Access. We are looking forward to seeing what the welding and art classes create! @acs_schools @CTEAsheNC @ncsupers
