This will likely be the largest test (for fantasy purposes) of “I don’t like this player” vs. “The coach LOVES this player and he will get a ton of work” @BraudeM and I usually lean towards the former: fantasy evaluations should revolve around the player.

How do Wide Receivers fare in their 1st year back after ACL reconstruction? In one word: AWFUL ❌❌❌ Out of 18 different WRs that tore their ACL and returned since 2020 only one of them was actually productive. That was Chris Godwin, and he missed 2 of the first 3 games, then had crazy volume (142 targets) by none other than Tom Brady. Anomaly. 17 of 18 failed (94%) ‼️ Aiyuk just signed a monster contract 4/$120M in 2024, is owed almost $21M in 2025 and over $26M in 2026. Sounds like the 49ers will to trade either/both Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel. I wouldn’t touch Aiyuk with a 10-foot pole if I was a WR-needy team.
