@mrtyb2121 @Justin_Chains @tailopez I agree that both can be blessings and curses. I just wanted to share that both of those conditions don’t mean that you inherently see the world through envious eyes, like the responder stated, in response to the Dostoyevsky quote.

@AshitakaInst @Justin_Chains @tailopez i hear it but just because money and looks can end up being negative, it doesn’t make them inherently bad things. i would say that how people are influenced by them could be bad but that’s down to the individual. in of themselves, they objectively increase one’s quality of life

As Dostoevsky said, a man with no money and a woman without physical beauty both see the world without delusions.

@New_Common_Law @Justin_Chains @tailopez Exactly. My father, for example, never cared about riches. He wanted job that ended at 5, so that he could spend the rest of the day with his family. He never harbored any resentment for those who chose giving their life to amassing wealth.

@AshitakaInst @Justin_Chains @tailopez Resentment is merely a bias. It clouds perception. But plenty of poorer & less attractive people aren't all that resentful. And ultimately it's no real match for a dire shortage of authentic experiences, which is what Dostoyevsky was referring to.

@mrtyb2121 @Justin_Chains @tailopez Incorrect, only the most sane would say no. They know those are ultimately traps. Jesus and Buddha have warned about this. That’s why monks take vows of poverty, because all form of earthly riches fade.

@Justin_Chains @tailopez Nope, its the reverse. The highest quality person doesn’t care about amassing riches or conventional beauty standards. Those are traps for people to fall into. Jesus, Buddha, many of the highest quality people have warned against this.

@tailopez On the contrary, they both see the world through eyes of envy, which can be its own poison.

This might be my last reply. But I just want to reaffirm, there is no revisionism here. From the beginning, my contention was that the framing of the original post was dishonest, and it leads people to false assumptions because of the missing context. Again, the Gaza Humanitarian Fund has invited multiple people from the pro-Israel crowd to Gaza. You clamped that pro-Israel people don’t go there. That’s false.

1. Now you’re just doing revisionism. Anyone can go read what was said. All you have is Coleman’s word. If you cannot admit that, you’re not being honest. 2 The issue isn’t on which platform it was posted, it’s the actual video in question, which I shared two replies to; mine and Alex’s.

1. The post was not about him having been to Palestine. The post was leaving the crucial context which would have insinuated that he was refusing to go there for purely ideological reasons. But once we found out the context of the timing, it makes sense of why he would not be able to add that extra trip. There is nothing unreasonable about that deduction. 2. You asked me to share a post of his being in Gaza. So I shared a post. Why does it matter if it was posted on TikTok or X or a news site? It was a post from the individual unnamed. Again, multiple people in the pro-Israel crowd have gone to Palestine. You falsely claimed that they haven’t.

Again, you were wrong about two things. 1. You were wrong about the original post, framing Coleman as not going to Palestine for ideological reasons. 2. You were wrong about people in the pro-Israel crowd not visiting Gaza. The Gaza Humanitarian Fund invited many pro-Israel people to go into Gaza, and they did. tiktok.com/t/ZTkLhSBxq/

@AshitakaInst @TinyRoommates @c2r4u2s4t1y2 @coldxman @ZaidJilani You mean the black gay influencer who argued that Israel were the good guys because they were holding on to all the food and aid that was meant to be distributed to the Palestinians? This guy? Please show me him going to Gaza. I want to see his groundbreaking journalism.

So did Noam, and yet they couldn’t make it happen. Interesting how on these Israeli funded trips to the region, the Zionists are the ones who don’t ever have the time to add an extra couple days to their trip despite having a month+ of notice, and despite claiming they want to find as much information as possible to arrive at the truth.

@Wholetruth333 @Truth_matters20 You are the one who missed the point, we can hide and we can show our good deeds. The original post said you can’t show your good deeds to the world, Jesus says you can. But the glory must be for God, not for yourself.

There is nothing wrong with fasting and self-denial, but it should be done in humility and secret, as Jesus said (Matthew 6:16-18). It also shouldn't be viewed sacramentally. God's grace cannot be earned (Eph. 2:8-9).
