🚀 TSUNAGI Propagation Milestone Achieved Today our Zig-built node TSUNAGI successfully served a block to a live Cardano preview relay using the full Node-to-Node protocol stack. Handshake → ChainSync → RollForward → BlockFetch → BatchDone Logs confirm: • FindIntersect = found • BlockFetch RequestRange • StartBatch / BatchDone • served_header = true • served_block = true A Zig implementation acting as a real Cardano peer. Not a simulation. Not a parser. A node. Next phase: • continuous propagation • historical ancestry coverage • light-node mode • operator tooling (JP-friendly) #Cardano #Zig #Cardanonode #Tsunagi

April 2025 charles hoskinson @iohk_charles used treasury funds to activate "wolf mode" by traveling to the brazilian amazon, smoke ketamine and let bullet ants crawl up his ass Charles insisted this would be beneficial for Cardano, however ADA price has dropped 80% since then.

After reflecting deeply on this governance process, a few things are clearer to me than ever. Cardano is alive. The community is engaged. And that matters more than any single vote. But this process has shown me something important: Cardano's governance is real. You are not passive holders. You are owners. That is exactly what we built this for. It has also reminded me that when Cardano has needed it most, the Pentad delivered. IOG, EMURGO, the Cardano Foundation, Midnight Foundation, and Intersect have proven they can coordinate and bring critical integrations to life when the ecosystem needed it. That coordination layer matters now more than ever. So let me show up the way I should. I will be in Singapore for the Cardano Summit and I will be on stage. I am also personally committing to partially top up our Token2049 sponsorship to Title level. Being on that main stage is where Cardano and Midnight need to be heard. To the Pentad, I am inviting all of you to sit down and have a real conversation about the future of governance and how we formalise this coordination going forward. I am 100% focused on Cardano and Midnight. Always have been. Let me prove it. #strongertogether

Dear Cardano community in Japan 🇯🇵 Since I’ve just heard some alarming information: - 90% of the Japanese Cardano community does not speak English 👀 - In WhatsApp and Telegram groups, 2–3 people selectively pass on information from the Cardano ecosystem to you 👀 - You have trusted those people to represent you in decision-making 👀 We have translated our Cardano News into Japanese. From now on, you can follow what is happening in the Cardano ecosystem every day in your own language. Delegate your $ADA to people who will represent the interests of #Cardano, not use you as their human shield… @hix_coffeepool @_Night_Forge_ @the_c0nnector @IOHK_Charles In the settings, change the language to Japanese 🇯🇵 and check what is really happening in the ecosystem. songmarketcap.com/cardanonews

‘JAPAN REPLIES TO CARDANO’ Thank you so much to everyone who joined yesterday’s SPACE. First of all, huge respect to @hix_coffeepool for hosting and carrying the conversation all the way through, and thank you as well to @Hardfork_OT for speaking about Catalyst GRAPH APP that you have made! Honestly… I never expected so many people from around the world to gather together like that. Before the SPACE started, there was a part of me wondering: “Will Japan’s voice really be heard?” “Does the global community even care what’s happening here?” But yesterday answered that clearly. People from all over the world came because they genuinely wanted to understand what is happening inside the Japanese Cardano community. That alone meant a lot. For some reason I couldn’t even join properly through @AshiyaPool and had to jump in through @_Night_Forge_ instead🤣 but honestly, that chaos somehow made the SPACE feel even more real. It wasn’t polished. It wasn’t perfectly organized. There were disagreements, emotions, and tension at times. But that is exactly why it mattered. On X, people argue every day. Communities split apart. Different sides attack each other. Sometimes it feels impossible to have a real conversation anymore. But yesterday, people from completely different perspectives actually sat down and talked. That was powerful. And more than anything else, I was reminded how much love people still have for Cardano. The passion. The belief. The willingness to fight for the future of this ecosystem. Seeing that again made me realize something very important: Cardano is not finished. Not even close. If anything, this feels like the beginning of a new chapter. And having @IOHK_Charles come into the SPACE himself and speak directly and passionately also meant a lot. Whether people agreed or disagreed, the fact that both sides could speak openly in the same place was important. At the same time, Japan absolutely has problems we need to face honestly. There are divisions. Closed circles. Power structures. A lack of fresh participation. And serious manpower problems around the current DRep ecosystem. There is still a lot of “darkness” inside the Japanese Cardano scene that has not fully surfaced yet. But yesterday was not just about blaming people. It became a place where we could seriously ask: “How do we move closer to true decentralization?” And personally, I believe some of the current structures in Japan need to be broken apart completely. Not out of hate. Not to destroy Cardano. But because decentralization cannot survive if power, influence, and decision-making become stagnant. New builders need space. New voices need room to speak. People who are actually creating value need to be seen. Nobody gives us decentralization for free. We have to build it ourselves. That is why even without funding, even without treasury money, I continue building. We are still building nodes. Still building infrastructure. Still trying to push Cardano forward from Japan. Yesterday’s SPACE felt bigger than drama or controversy. It felt like the beginning of a new era for Cardano Japan. To everyone who spoke. Everyone who listened. Everyone who joined from around the world. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. And trust me… this conversation is only getting started. There’s still a lot more to say. See you all in the next SPACE.

I am seeing shameful personal attacks from both sides of the governance debate. Mud slinging is a tactic as old as politics but we need to endeavor to do better. Westerners invoking Japanese culture and customs that they learned from an anime to "bully and harass" members of the Japanese DRep community are the worst. (Note: I'm not talking about Charles here, who was respectful in his message even if some interpreted it negatively) Be better. The sky isn't falling one way or another. We must be able to disagree without being disagreeable. We must be able to discuss ideas without resulting in personal attacks. To the entire Japanese Cardano community, I am sorry you have been placed at the center of this. I've always known you to be respectful, patient, and fully supportive of Cardano's mission through the years. A fledgling government system is rough, but we will get through it together.

Love you to death man but you are missing the whole point. The community you built is talking and you are not listening, in fact you are making it worse by threatening us. If we are the science coin, then cut all the extra stuff IO has their hands in. The other non research, non dev, non update proposals, and come back with 3 proposals that focus on core development, maintenance, and research. The problem I have right now is IO lacks focus. One post I hear research is the most important, one post it’s chain updates, one post its core development and maintenance, then sprinkle in all the completely unrelated businesses that should be running independently (although I do appreciate that IO contracts several community teams). All these things at once cannot be the top issue, you need to focus and pick a lane. One team cannot be responsible for oversight of 50% of the treasury spend. I can imagine it will be impossible for IO to be sustainable without treasury money. This is a huge problem that I see no end in sight for. I’m not sure there is a sustainable path to revenue, never been talked about publicly. If all IO proposals are going to be an every year expenditure, then they should have a much tighter budget and focus. We are forcing every one else to show numbers, provide a path towards self sustainability, and repay the treasury somehow. This expectation should be across the board. Also, show us the FTE rates and overhead cost!! The community deserves to know. It’s good business practice and will set a bar for the next round of proposers who look to further decentralize that work. Idk if you will read this or not. I personally do not want you or IO to leave. I simply am asking for focus, transparency, and a bit of willingness to change based on community feedback. Because this is not a good look for any of us.
