I don’t often post here any more, and most people who would once have occasionally followed or enjoyed my Basil’s exploits have no doubt fled this site too. But the most dreaded thing for my little family unit has come to pass, and after 18 years of love and fun, Basil has gone.

I hope he had fun in his life with us. We spoilt him rotten. But he deserved every little thing for the unending love and loyalty and fun he gave us, and for the lesson of stoicism and bravery he taught us at the end. He was the most beautiful dog. RIP Basil. 🤍
