I don't know what to do with this account since my Lolly has gone over the Rainbow Bridge. It has been a week now. This was always my happy place. I feel lost and heartbroken. I no longer have a dog so now I feel I don't belong on here.

@Kopp1969 @condorcanqui23 3) as how can ppl prove they can rise 2 any job they haven't yet practically done? interview is a step beyond CV, its very point is 2 personalise & explore it. Employers aren't hiring robots, they're hiring ppl so best practice is 2 offer opps in it 2 draw out personality & ethos

@Ashstartsover @condorcanqui23 But Ash her cv stated what her priorities were....4 years in college in a completely different field. Her answer actually was....working in the area I'm studying in. I train people in interviewing skills and techniques and all questions should be relevant to the job/career.

18 year old daughter did an interview for a partime job in a sandwich bar to have a few bob for college. She was asked, "where do you see yourself in 5 years time"? It is such a stupid question with no purpose. Only an inexperienced interviewer would ask it. She's only 18 FFS.

At 18, or in any circ where work history is limited its interviewer best practice NOT 2 constrict a interviewee 2 wat they've done

@Kopp1969 @condorcanqui23 1)i disagree. most questions wil b directly relevant 2 any career but some r an opportunity 2 identify & add important texture 2 CVs via transferable key skills, interests & other experience. How else can u look 2 prove u r ready 4 a career u haven't yet done. A good employer ..

@Kopp1969 No offence taken at all. I'm guessing they wud argue that at 18 everything has been hypothetical up 2 this point & that only now is the opportunity 2 turn aims 2 reality. So the question is designed far more broadly than simply within that job's context. Its sussing out psyche

@Ashstartsover No offense Ash but personally I think it's a stupid question. It doesn't give any information at all because it's hypothetical. Not based on any evidence. Certainly not a question to ask an 18 year old who just wants to earn a few quid for college and not run the company.

@sharon_10_ Yor identity is always YOR identity. Even if lolly is sadly gone now u r still lolly's mom - the present doesnt change the past. Whoever we lose r stil ingrained in our identities & in our hearts, if we want & chose that. So pls dont deny yourself that if u brings u comfort. Xx

@mcm_home Spot on. It's one of the reasons I'm scared. I have 4 conditions requiring meds, ops, treatments - I would die. I wouldn't be alone - millions would also die. I don't know who'd do the work here once elderly, vulnerable and poor have all been culled.....
