Whenever you open social media, you see the same thing. Either North Easterners playing the victim or people calling NE the “real India.” Why are Hindus always guilt-tripped into being the villains? The same thing happened with Muslims decades ago. It was followed by control over areas, land, Bollywood, and influence. NErs are more likely to face racism in China, South Korea, or even from fellow NErs than from Hindus in North or South India. Even the Anjel Chakma incident had nothing to do with racism. The culprits included Nepalis and NErs. Yet that incident was still used to falsely blame other Indians. They get tax benefits and reservations. They come here to study and work. Still, we are painted as the bad guys. They are far more closed as a community than us. Hindus are the most welcoming people. That is the very reason we were invaded and lost land and population to Muslims. You can see countless comments from NErs saying, like Nepal, they should become a separate nation or merge with China. Earlier it was the “separate nation” debate. Now, since China is developed, some are openly talking about merging with it. You can also see many comments saying they look better than other Indians. This trend started after K-pop and K-dramas became viral. Enough of this guilt-tripping. Man up, guys.

India has made substantial progress in renewable energy in recent years. Total renewable capacity has surged from 76 GW in 2014 to over 250 GW today with solar recording massive 50 times increase. 30 lakh homes have installed subsidised solar plants in last two years with 70 lakh more in the pipeline. 23 lakh solar pumps have been installed too. India now ranks 4th globally in total installed renewable energy capacity, 4th in wind power, and 3rd in solar power. Non-fossil fuel sources now exceed 50% of India's total installed power capacity, achieving the 2030 Paris Agreement target 5 years early. This is not to say India doesn't face massive environmental challenges. But how does gaslighting help?
