On #WorldAIDSDay2025, we stand united to end AIDS. In Busia, with 3.9% adult HIV prevalence, over 300 young women & girls living with HIV have been empowered through #WeLead Project. Community-led monitoring via #TASO & #UDHA showed 95% satisfaction across 8 facilities, #EndAIDS.

1 in 3 women face violence globally. In Uganda’s Eastern region, 51% of women experience violence; Busia reported 2,500+ GBV cases during lockdown. Lets “UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls”. #16DaysOfActivism #EndGBV

This engagement amplifies youth and community voices in local governance, fostering inclusive development and maximizing impact across Busia and beyond. #ASHWAat10

ASHWA’s participation ensures our programs align with district development goals such as human capital growth, infrastructure, and governance. It also strengthens transparency in resource management, enhancing our advocacy for community needs. #ASHWAat10

Today, we attended the Busia District budget conference which brought together the CAO, LC5, other district leaders, & representatives from all sectors and NGOs in full capacity. Key stakeholders reviewed the FY 2025/26 budget performance and discussed priorities for FY 2026/27.

Their determination and spirit inspire us as they navigate school life despite many challenges. This update highlights our continued commitment to supporting these children and championing their right to education and a hopeful future #AshwaAt10

We visited Streetways children across their schools to catch up on their progress and well-being. It was a meaningful opportunity to connect with them directly, hear about their academic journeys, and learn about their social experiences. #EducationForAll
