Something I've learnt in my mid 30s is never underestimate the power of lying flat on the floor for 15 mins. You don't need to try to sleep, or meditate, just close your eyes and lie there. It never fails to make me feel 10 x better👌

I have an idea for a choreography for the first time in 2 years. I don't know if it's a good idea so I'm going to sit with it for a bit. 🙏

Something I'm enjoying about getting older is gradually finding my core values & orienting them towards shared horizons with others. I feel much less inclined to react to every little rocking of the boat, but to keep quietly steering a much bigger ship alongside others' efforts

The last week has been incredible for me. So much 🔥 dancing. It has felt very meaningful after PhD funding disappointment. It's reaffirmed to me that practice is where it's at & I have things of value to offer. Huge 🙏 to all who danced with me at ID or ICA. Now a bit of rest ❤️

I know it's not fashionable to specify professional level in experimental dance teaching these days, but I would love to lead a regular, advanced/pro, dance improvisation class somewhere. Somewhere for the dance nerds to get deeply weird on a regular basis.

Maybe this is very old school of me, but I basically never, ever, want to be in an auditorium watching a performance and be pulled out of the experience by the blue light of someone else's phone. It completely ruins it. I reckon we could be bolder in asking ppl not to do that!
