@DrKatyBarnett Great article! I think property law is one of the most theoretically rich, and at times curiously dissonant fields out there, especially from the animal perspective. Also, robust doctrinal work is, in my view, a compelling foundation for critique 👌

@LizHcks Also, Edelman J’s dualistic reasoning here is a concern. The object of anti cruelty legislation is different to that of the implied freedom. They can operate concurrently; it’s not an either/ or proposition.
