It is also a means of introducing structure and certainty into the life of a man. It is a means by which God protects His interests. If you look deep enough at any Godly covenant you’ll see that His interests are protected.
The introduction of covenant into the life of a man serves the purpose of deepening commitment by way of routine. There are lessons that can only survive within the confines of covenant. Job said I have made a pact with my eyes !
In case you think idolatry cannot find expression in your lineage during your lifetime. Not all idol worshippers began that way. It begins by surrendering your will to something you barely know or understand.
Christ’s authorship is not in books. His work is in living epistles. The glory of our faith is not in the letter otherwise the law would’ve been enough. This is what Jesus meant when He said the words I speak to you are Spirit and Life.
Is giving up ( surrender) ever an act of faith ? You know how scripture says when Moses had come of age he decided to no longer be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter ? Makes me wonder sometimes.
Honesty is also a part of the conviction process under the discipleship of the Holy Spirit. That’s how I personally know that Love speaks the truth regardless.
You cannot overspend God’s love it is limitless and unconditional. Somehow coming into the knowledge of His endless love frees you from sin. Just knowing that the cross is not the end of His Love but merely the beginning of it.
Live out the Mercies of God one good deed at a time. There is room for all of us in God. That is what scripture reiterates by saying His Mercies endure forever. His Grace outlives us. His Mercies carry us daily.
Certain voluntary decisions will make you realize that you need saving from yourself. God’s way of dealing with entitlement and pride is making an example out of the least expected outcome.
Wisdom too is deliverance. It is wise to know that putting yourself in harm’s way intentionally with the hope that God will save you is ungodly. It is as ungodly as expecting a harvest where you did not labor.
