If my first tool is free, am I really building a startup or just doing a hobby?

Most people think AI will replace developers...Truth is, it’s a tool. The real skill is knowing how to leverage it to ship faster, smarter, and cleaner code.

The prompt pattern that improved my code reviews by 10x: Instead of: "Review this code" Use: "You're a senior developer doing a code review. Find issues in these categories: security, performance, maintainability, and edge cases. For each issue, explain WHY it's a problem and suggest a specific fix." The magic word? "WHY" Generic feedback: "This could cause memory leaks" Specific feedback: "This event listener isn't cleaned up because there's no corresponding removeEventListener in the cleanup function. This will cause memory leaks when components unmount frequently." Better prompts = better learning. What's your go-to code review prompt?

Day 16 of building and now the REAL game begins. I just started added a feature which makes it the actual Cursor for video. You don’t drag timelines anymore. You don’t click 50 buttons. You just give it a video as context and type a prompt. It does everything "in under a minute" Today I tested with this prompt: “make a cinematic video max 10s. 3 cuts with fade, dissolve, fade. choose the parts that could go viral on YouTube” And it actually: - picked the best moments - stitched them together - added all transitions - gave me the final cinematic video 🤯 This is only the most BASIC version. I can’t even imagine what this will feel like once everything is in. I AM BEYOND EXCITED. 🚀

30 minutes. That’s all it took to build an automation that will save me 5 hours—every single week. Do the math: 260 hours a year. 6.5 full work weeks. $26,000 worth of my time—unlocked. Invest half an hour, get $26K back. This is the real power of automation. What would you automate if it gave you back weeks of your life?
