@ThatEthiopian @Damask_Pubs Volunteered for almagrib when I was at highschool/uni. We had qabeela taqwa ( I think) for central Scotland. From what I remember we had a female vice leader and a male leader. Those were in charge of finding venues/getting more volunteers etc. Offc they were unpaid too

Some people who claim to be committed to women's rights regarding clothing choices possess very narrow and hypocritical mindset and are unable to envision a Muslim woman as empowered and autonomous. Here 👇 the Dutch athlete, who chose to wear a hijab here even though she chose not to wear one during her competition. Yet, under this tweet, several comments label her as oppressed, suggesting she was coerced by a male family member.
How are these people different from Hibatullah Akhundzada of the Taliban in Afghanistan or the Islamic Republic of Iran? They force women to wear hijabs, violating their choice, while you criticize women for wearing them, even when it is their choice.
