Well sure inaction is not the same as action, but it is an action in it of itself. And no, I'm not saying not creating a child is equal to ending a life. It is something in between. I am in my early 20s, I do not have children yet, but yes I do plan to have as many as I can. 5 would be nice but the more the better.

The economy being bad plays a role absolutely. But we are not overpopulated. Earth can easily support roughly 10 billion people. You give Earth less credit than she deserves. Resources are not spread thin. They are misused and mismanage yes, but that is because humans are not perfect. I just looked it up, the 33 nations with the most starving people are either, at war with another country, in a civil war, have some major political instability, some crazy climate event (Drought for example) economic disaster or major downturn, other types of conflicts. So other then a small select few like Namibia, and Lesotho and probably some other too, practically every other nation starving is due to humans being either, retarded, greedy, or straight up evil. Food security is not an issue of can you grow enough food. Its can the food actually get to who needs it.
