@AssassinLV91 @Pirat_Nation Do you drink with a straw that often? I use a glass like adults
English

Starting in 2027, smartphones sold in the European Union will be required to have user-replaceable batteries designed for greater durability and more charging cycles.
Manufacturers must also provide spare parts and repair manuals for at least 10 years after a model is released.
This is real pressure against planned obsolescence. It should mean phones that actually last longer, cheaper fixes, and a lot less electronic waste piling up. About time.

English

@gyopiazza @Pirat_Nation Maybe - I drink slowly over the course of food (or movie) - and not empty it in 2 minutes....
Riga, Latvia 🇱🇻 English

@AssassinLV91 @Pirat_Nation Normal people don't have this problem. If you can't handle it, order smaller drinks
English

@YourDudeAedus Wondering on whether you know the reference.... Also there is a gift-packaging type of chocolate box, when ordering from chocolate sellers, then the purchaser knows, but gift-receiver wouldn't.
Riga, Latvia 🇱🇻 English

I'm pretty sure about what I'm getting out of a box of chocolate (chocolate)
AssassinLV@AssassinLV91
@Pirat_Nation EU laws are like a box of Chocolate, you never know what you going to get. Sometimes you get dumb rules (Like ban of plastic straws, surveilence laws of general population). Sometimes rules that do good (like this one, or USB-C law)
English

@DomIsStillBored @DarRamesnis Technically not a fan - but checking the context and stuff - I can assume that person is from Russia spreading idiocy without living in any Baltic country.
English

@gyopiazza @Pirat_Nation For until the drink is over (like any normal person)
English

@AssassinLV91 @Pirat_Nation How long do you keep them in your drink? The problem might be you
English

@youvebeenoinked @Pirat_Nation It's same type of law as there were micro-usb law. If usb-c starts to limit - then there will be a rise of own solutions, until a new law realigns everyone.
And to be honest, I think wireless charging is a future, and might make usb-c or any type of external port to disappear...
Riga, Latvia 🇱🇻 English

@AssassinLV91 @Pirat_Nation The usb-c law is not good. It's locked tech into a stasis bubble.
I get the intention, but the real impact is stifled innovation and progress.
Imagine if they'd enacted that law on usb-a!?
English

@gyopiazza @Pirat_Nation They don't get soaked like paper ones.
Which is a reason that now I have metallic straws.
Riga, Latvia 🇱🇻 English

@AssassinLV91 @Pirat_Nation What surveilence laws?
English

@Begs1v @AssassinLV91 He got reposted by gimmick account and literally got thousand likes
English

I broke it, if its willing to do that i am sure it can give me those pi digits
Its stuck in a loop just giving 0's so I am going to see how long it goes then tell it to do that but for pi

stupid tech takes@stupidtechtakes
A way to troll AI
English

@Begs1v Well, up until yesterday I did not know there were any views. 😂
Riga, Latvia 🇱🇻 English

@HimeruOoki @r0ktech Assembly is such a pain though 😂
Riga, Latvia 🇱🇻 English

@AssassinLV91 @r0ktech I did a lot of C# in the past. But it was before becoming an embedded system engineer. Now i only do C and assembly (sometimes python for fast prototyping)
English

@saibojnal @stupidtechtakes I think - I play too damn many idlers... As for the doubles - yes range is ennourmous, but consider this:
double a = 1.8e308;
double b = a+1;
return a == b; // returns true
Riga, Latvia 🇱🇻 English

@stupidtechtakes > all computational limits
> number can be stored in a double
I didn't realise how insane the range of double was lmao
English

@stupidtechtakes nice troll, pi prompt exposes ai's stubborn math limits
English

@sent4444 @AssassinLV91 @r0ktech Guess what? The language? I already hate JavaScript. Don’t you dare tell me this is JavaScript (more like TypeScript)
English

@HimeruOoki @r0ktech I'm already 8 (or 9) years a .NET developer (full stack). Even then I make silly errors like mixing up js and py... (Later of which I barely have any experience with, outside of the memes)
Riga, Latvia 🇱🇻 English

@AssassinLV91 @r0ktech You, visibly, just started learning programming. Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it and soon never confuse Python and JS again…
English

@r0ktech waait, this is js.... Python has no semicolons...
Also - Who did this assignment - I need to hit the persons hands for multi assignment on single line,

English

@r0ktech Ah, arrow function. Well - that shouldn't compile - unless Python is weird enough where "=>" is interchangeable with ">="...
English
