Hoyoland theme park in Jinan, China!? #miHoYo news According to a recent article published by Shizhong Headlines, the city is planning a “Hoyoland theme park”. According to the government social media account, as part of an urban development study tour, officials visited miHoYo in Shanghai. There, they observed how miHoYo has ignited the passion of young people worldwide through titles like Genshin Impact and the Honkai series, creating global hits through an “IP + technology” approach. Following this visit, a development model combining “digital + cultural tourism + commerce” is gradually taking shape. Looking ahead, Shizhong District may cooperate with miHoYo, leveraging core commercial areas such as Jingsi Road and Yinghongshan, as well as distinctive districts, to roll out IP-themed pop-up stores, projection-based exhibitions, and VR experience centres. In addition, authorities are actively planning what could become the country’s first “Hoyoland” theme park project, aiming to attract visitors to the old city through top-tier IPs. They also plan to collaborate with specialised companies such as Fengyuzhu to build a digital cultural experience centre in the old commercial district. Using digital technology to recreate scenes from a century ago, and introducing AR guides and digital light shows in redevelopment areas like Shangxin Street, the goal is to let visitors “step into history and touch the future.” Notably, Jinan is also the hometown of Cai Haoyu; a fact that is gradually drawing attention among miHoYo players to the city’s recent moves.
