Back in 2020, I spent a whole year trying to convince Bengaluru authorities to allow landowners to capture excess rainfall and recharge groundwater levels. We couldn’t secure permits because we didn’t bribe them. Today our city continues to flood.

Bangalore Metro Updates
Situation at Silk Board metro station at 6:00 pm today - just after one rain! #BangaloreRains It’s the same spot that was heavily water logged in May 2025. Looks like nothing has been done to avoid such situation again. vc: Twitter follower.

3 men beat toll workers at 1:30am near Nelamangala, Bengaluru. Said they are "MLA-side people" so they don't have to pay ₹50 toll. One worker came to help his colleague. They dragged him inside a BMW, beat him more, then threw him out on the road. This is what political cover looks like on the ground. People using politician names as a licence to assault working class men doing their jobs at night. The BMW and a Fortuner both fled.

In Surat right now, something really good is happening. Videos are out. Corporator elections are going on, and when candidates come begging for votes, people are demanding answers. They are asking what work they have actually done and want clear answers. Otherwise, they are not even allowing them to enter their societies. This is happening with everyone, whether they are from the BJP, Congress, or AAP. I really like that people are asking questions. Politicians should always fear the public.

It’s been more than 3 months since I moved back to Bangalore and I must say that the city has changed significantly in the 2 years I was away. The change has been for the worse, I’m afraid. There’s construction everywhere, roads are either dug up or full of potholes. There’s garbage everywhere and the whole city stinks of filth. Traffic has gotten worse and the lack of civic sense on the roads is appalling to see. I can barely recognise the city which has been my home for all my life.

Her name is Persis. Her father Jayaraj and her brother Bennix were beaten to death inside a Tamil Nadu police station in June 2020. For keeping a mobile shop open 45 minutes past curfew. For 2192 days she did not stop. She shielded her mother from the full details of what happened inside those walls. She went to court every single date. Yesterday 9 police officers were sentenced to death. Persis did not celebrate loudly. She went home. Some fights are not fought for victory. They are fought so it never happens again.

Why are almost all Big Media Houses covering the FSSAI FIR case only from the Officials’ angle? Why is no one willing to hear our side? Is journalism now just publishing one-sided allegations without even asking basic questions to the other party? If the media only amplifies power and ignores the voice of ordinary people, then who is left to listen to the common citizen? @IndianExpress @the_hindu

Government doesn’t care for us, rich are paying ₹4000-5000 for gas and eating, we can’t pay. I left my 1 day work to collect wood so that I can cook and my family can eat. — A migrant worker from BJP double engine ruled Bihar working in 3 engine ruled Delhi

Hyderabad Police is consistently busting units producing adulterated ghee, milk, and paneer. But when FSSAI and Delhi Police are asked to do the same, they file complaints instead. Is demanding safe, unadulterated food now considered ‘creating panic’? If protecting citizens health is chaos, then what exactly is governance for? Because slow poisoning through adulterated food is already happening.

At a time when policy should be accelerating the transition away from fossil fuels and advancing climate goals, the Karnataka Congress Government has chosen to levy lifetime taxes on electric vehicles - a regressive and counterproductive move. While states across India and governments globally are incentivising EV adoption through tax exemptions and subsidies, Karnataka is penalising it to plug the holes created by its own fiscal mismanagement. This is not policy - it is a desperate revenue grab. Instead of enabling a clean mobility transition, the burden is being passed on to citizens. Kannadigas are now paying the price for the Congress Government’s fiscal failure.

Delhi Police have filed an FIR against me. I had written about an FSSAI issue. I have already taken down those posts and am also removing many others. I already have too many things going on in my life. In the future, you may see me silent. I cannot handle this level of stress anymore. Thanks.
