Thanks for all the encouragement to illustrate and write myself, rather than find an agent or publisher!
Monday morning Gummitch purr.
Groucho and I both have appointments on the 22nd to figure out what’s going on with us and what to do about it. #CatsOfTwitter#CatsOfX
@OutwoodsCat (Tinky was exactly the same. She'd stand by the cat flap as if to meow "mew expect me to push that when mew can just turn the handle and open the door". ) 🤷🏼♀️
Seven years ago today our darling Cilla showed us just what a diva she was by being “too posh to push” when we put a cat flap in the school. An old & much watched film, but still makes us giggle. We so miss our funny little girl. 🌈❤️

Smokey's final GFM update 14 April 2026
This will be my last update on my sweet boy Smokey. On Thursday 2 1/2 weeks ago, I came home from my art group to find Smokey paralysed in his back legs in the kitchen. My poor baby was incontinent too. It was heartbreaking to see him suffering. I wrapped him in a towel and put him in his carry box before rushing him to hospital.
They did various tests and administered pain relief. The veterinarian said that he had a blood clot in his spine which had paralysed him. She was unable to treat him there and that I should take him to the emergency vet just down the road where they were better equipped to treat him. At least at that point he wasn't in pain.
The veterinarian at the specialised hospital examined him and said that his survival chances were poor. Even with treatment they could not dissolve the large blood clot in his back and that he may not live through the weekend. His back paws were turning blue due to lack of blood flow. Treatment would extend his life by only 3 months at most and he would be suffering. No matter how much I wanted to have more time with Smokey, I could not let him suffer and be in pain. I had to make the awful decision to euthanise him.
I am heartbroken and miss my darling boy Smokey. He was so cute, sweet and loving. He had been doing so well on his thyroid medicine and with his asthma under control. I think that he got the blood clot due to his heart disease. He was going to have another heart ultrasound not long after he suffered his blood clot, so unfortunately he wasn't on heart medicine in time. I did everything the different vets said for me to do no matter the cost. It was all so sudden as he was looking so much better with his thyroid medicine. RIP sweetie pie Smokey. I will love you forever. I get his ashes delivered this morning so he is coming home.
Friends! I’m still a bit worried about the Mouse and so I had an idea to tempt him out. Mum helped me. He’s definitely not under the oven any longer, so he must have gone through this door. If he’s in there, he will find it hard to resist what Mum has made. We’ll see… 🍫 🐭 #cats
Friends! Baby Dog has taken a pencil from Mum’s desk and won’t give it back. Mum is not happy. He’s not chewing it, he’s just sitting there with it in his mouth. He looks daft. I’m off to have a quiet word in his ear…
I am looking for an Illustration agent to represent me, I’ve emailed some agencies today but they seem to use a similar style of bright animation. Any shares would be appreciated!💖
This is happening in two Sheffield parks. Reportedly a dog has died.
Those of you who remember my beautiful Ethel may remember she was poisoned and we were never sure by what. She fought for her life for a week in intensive care before she died. It was traumatic. (Thanks to all who tried to help her)
Whoever is doing this needs jail.
Friends! An update on #MouseGate 🐭 We have been holding a Stake-Out in the Kitchen but we haven’t been able to encourage the Mouse to come out from under the oven. Mum used a Long-Pokey-Stick under there and lots of stuff came out, all of which the Triplets had batted under there. Including two of Ron’s missing collars!! (Not the most recent lost one though.) But no Mouse!!
