Join the club! #Web3ppl Oh, the clubs you can join, in the town of shillvill!! They whisper so sweetly, “Come in for a thrill!” You step through the door with a grin on your face, and suddenly—POOF!— you’re part of the Place. They hand you a card, a badge, and a hat, then a secret handshake that goes patty-pat-pat. “Be one of us now,” they cheer with a shout, “We’ll make you a member, no room for a doubt!” But watch how it grows, this jolly little club, it swells like a balloon till it’s bigger than the hub. They tell you the rules, the chants, and the creed, and soon you’re repeating whatever they need. One club for the thinkers, one club for the feet, one club for the dreamers who march to one beat. They start with a picnic, a song, and some cake— then suddenly you’re marching for Someone Else’s sake. “Oh no!” you will cry, “I just wanted some fun!” But the club has its claws and it’s already won. They’ll hand you a club (a big wooden stick), to wave at the others who won’t join the click. You’ll swing it with glee at the folks who say “No,” till you’re clubbing your neighbors from high to low. And the cult in the corner wears the same happy mask— it smiles like your club, but it’s wearing a task. It promises wisdom, and love, and bright light, then locks all the doors in the dead of the night. So beware of the clubs, little one, take my word! They’ll club you with kindness till you’re part of the herd. Join none, stay free, with your own silly grin— the best kind of member is the one who stays IN!
