Every refugee has gone through an arduous process to prove they're in danger in their country. So it's obvious their children trapped abroad are too. Our Government cannot claim to care about children while abandoning children it knows are unsafe. theguardian.com/politics/2026/…

Our hope comes from the kindness of our community. We see hope in volunteers, partnerships, families rebuilding their lives,& people coming together to support one another. Every act of compassion reminds us that brighter futures are possible when communities stand united.

Here's what we know: in every single community in the UK, there are people who are kind, hopeful and welcoming. This week they'll be making that hope and welcome extra visible - but it's there every day. What give you hope in your community?

Yesterday's King's Speech continued the Government's failing approach of attacking people trying to put down roots in the UK. Denying people settlement and making refugee status uncertain, won't improve life for anyone - and it's pretty clear voters can see that.
