@SnapBlastPLAY I don't think anyone cares that much, honestly. And I mean that, in general, the whole mythos of these 'console wars' are completely fabricated just for the sake of having a reason to pick a fight. I just don't get it.

@Lunnzies @Xcension What's this, an actual logical mature response? Crazy. But I totally agree. I don't think it will take long for Devs to forgo the "always performance" stance. And I can understand, Devs are entitled to use the power however they want.

The price doesn’t make it anti consumer. They are allowed to make money on something, options are never bad thing for consumers. You also underestimate how many people are willing to drop this kind of money on it. My issue with the console is that it doesn’t need to exist. There are no hard numbers in terms of real world gains. We know that in today’s gaming industry, devs will simply push more bells and whistles on the pro model instead of performance or they’ll simply waste this free overhead and optimise games less for other consoles. This consoles doesn’t achieve a clear goal like the PS4 Pro/One X, which was your current games, but “4K”. This console is a net negative for gamers

@AnaAnsan3 Is this not simply just margin of error? Run the test multiple times and you'll probably get some results in favor of Xbox and some in favor of PS. This console war stuff is just really pathetic.

For gta3, Vice and SA; Memory on the ps2 was tight. We had to limit the number of used vehicle models to 8. My code would occasionally pick a car model to be phased out. Once there were none left on the map, this model would be removed and a new model could be loaded. The code would pick a model that was appropriate for the area (sports cars in business district, old cars in run-down areas etc). Most of the time this worked fine. A few things could throw a spanner in the works: If the player had gone up the wanted levels, some of the 8 slots would be taken up by police cars, FIB and swat vans and the police heli. Level designers would sometimes load specific car models for missions. Often these were not appropriate to be used for ambient traffic. Ambulance and firetrucks could be needed if there was an accident. If the player travelled to a different area of the map; some of the loaded cars would look out of place and could not be used. It would take a while for replacement models to be loaded. The game would keep the last player driven car, as it would be jarring if the player went back and it wasn’t there. At times there would only be 1 or 2 cars models available for ambient traffic. This lack of variation was particularly noticeable if the player was driving the one car that had to be used. To alleviate the problem, garages remove cars inside of them once the door has closed. This way the model could be removed. When the player opened the door, the cars were re-created in the same spot. Npc models were loaded/removed the same way. It just wasn’t as noticeable if variety was lacking. For each game we picked a generic looking character model that looked appropriate in each area of the map. This model was never removed and always ready to fill in. People want bigger, better games with the best graphics and tonnes of content. They also want games to be pop in and play, straight from a cartridge or disc like "the good old days" These two things can not exist together. 100GB of game just can't work straight from a disc.

@Gtamen Its the CPU, the consoles are limited in that area. Lowering the resolution won't have much of an affect on the CPU utilization. Its a shame but Zen 2 is 4 years old now.

I'd be absolute devastated if I have to play GTA 6 in 30FPS. I really hope we can leave that nightmare behind. It's so clucky and unresponsive. Drop the resolution to 1080p for all I care.. Frames are king.

@GTABase I'm pretty sure its due to the new Media Stick. You spawn in listening to WCC and you get a message from DJ Pooh, it overwrites your spawn so you can hear the message.
