@UndercoverIndy Get a Dirty Tricks spring tensioner. Problem solved.

I need a bit of advice from our followers who own older motorcycles. Rachelle brought hers back last night and it sounded like a Singer sewing machine on steroids. I'm thinking the timing chain tensioner is either stuck or has failed all together. She was really worried and didn't take it over 4k RPMs on her way back from work last night. I am going to remove the tensioner to see if the spring plunger has failed or its just stuck, but she's gong to have to use the car today until I figure it out. I've heard through the grapevine that you can replace the tensioner on a '79 XS1100 with one off of a Vmax and they are pretty much a direct fit, but I'm not so sure. Anyone out there that has some advice as to how to deal with this issue it would be greatly appreciate. =)

@Mopar_Logic Yes please. Had a 67 Barracuda, a 67 Dodge Coronet RT, and still have a 77 Corvette. The Corvette turns heads the most but the Mopars were amazing!
