@Stealth40k I'm like beyond sick of ports and remakes from Nintendo BUT I think this one is one where it would REALLY benefit with refined controllers (and better hardware) as well as really click with a new audience. The story and tone especially is super charming/unique.

@Jawmuncher @Zizoplays1 @YourDevastator I would love somebody to somehow mod it into a director's cut - slice away all the repetitive shit and make it into a single campaign game (with the Ada campaign excluded, but kept in as a separate post-game, for obvious reasons)

@Zizoplays1 @YourDevastator I’ve enjoyed Resident Evil 6 getting a second re-evaluation as of late. Everyone can agree it’s flawed in various ways. However, it’s still a title with a lot of unique ideas and some great action gameplay mechanics. There’s fun to be had if you go in with an open mind imo.

Said on a recent podcast this is the game where people will post 30-seconds of slow walking and complaining about it not reviewing higher because of ""THE DETAIL!!!""", and like clockwork, it's exactly what is happening. KEEN TO TRY IT MYSELF, but it's funny how it's playing out.

There is so much unique about RE3 but it's a bit of a shame that the remake gutted so much of that. I kind of appreciate it, because I am sure that RE4make wouldn't have been as good if RE3 didn't get bungled so badly. It seems to have enforced a "no cuts" mentality at Capcom.

Never played the Gen 1 remakes so have been dabbling in FireRed. It's still pretty cool and I like how open the game becomes when you get to the middle of the region. The type match ups are all over the fkn place though and the Safari Zone is such vehemently miserable RNG junk.

After Little Nightmares 3 (which was so boring) I wasn't sure I'd enjoy REANIMAL but it's really fucking good. Lots of options to play it solo or co-op too. Just a wholly better put together game than any of the LN games and slightly deeper mechanically - Tarsier still got it.

I wasn't expecting Stories 3 to make my GOTY short-list, but here we are. This is an evolution of the franchise in every way. A genuine step up across the board from Wings of Ruin, gameplay, narrative, and especially presentation. The best roster of monsties thus far. Play it!

Been dabbling in Pokemon Pokopia and I'm shocked at how interesting the files and lore drops are? The game is so aimless but I somehow can't stop playing it - there's something about how exploration and discovery works that's so addictive. Help. I have so much work to do 😭

Requiem has started rolling out everywhere and I'm so excited to hear what everyone thinks about it. It's such a unique game and I'm especially intrigued to hear what my friends, who have such vast experiences with Resident Evil, think of it. It's also easily the best looking RE.

RE9 is incredible in many ways. The Grace sections are easily standout - but there simply wasn't enough. The lack of horror, especially in the face of RE7 and Village, is noticeable. Regardless, this is another banger from you really shouldn't miss especially if you liked RE4.
