Yes, we relaunched because we didn’t really get the traction we hoped for last night. We were quiet during development, so we think some users may have assumed the tech wasn’t real or misunderstood what we’re building. Athlos is live, the product works, and we genuinely think prediction market tournaments can become a real category. Hopefully people give it a proper try this time around. We launched Athlos last night after staying mostly quiet during the build. In hindsight, that made it harder for people to understand what the product is, what is already live, and why we’re building it. Athlos is a tournament layer for prediction markets. Users enter tournaments, trade eligible markets, get ranked by performance, and compete for prize pools. We’ve been building this for a while, and we genuinely believe prediction market tournaments can become a real category. Because of that, we’re going to relaunch the $ATHLOS token and give the platform a proper push. We’ve also added bonus prizes to the initial tournaments from the $1,000 bootstrap prize funding. Prediction markets are already competitive, but the competition is mostly unstructured. Athlos adds the missing layer: tournaments, leaderboards, scoring, and prize pools built around real prediction market activity. For Polymarket tournaments, users connect a verified Polymarket wallet, trade eligible markets on Polymarket, and get ranked by performance. The trades happen on Polymarket. Athlos handles the tournament layer: registration, tracking, scoring, leaderboards, and payouts. Athlos can support different tournament formats and entry models, including open entry, ticketed entry, holder-gated access, and custom campaign rules. Prize pools can be funded by $ATHLOS creator fees, tournament entry payments, or both. 100% of $ATHLOS creator fees are routed into tournament prizes. Our first featured campaign is the FIFA World Cup. World Cup Pick’em runs directly on Athlos. Users make picks on athlos.fun, compete across matches, and play for match-based prize pools. During the World Cup campaign, reconciled $ATHLOS creator fees are split 50/50: 50% to the World Cup fund. 50% to the standard tournament fund. The World Cup fund is allocated by stage, with larger boosts reserved for later rounds: Group stage: 20% Round of 32: 15% Round of 16: 15% Quarterfinals: 15% Semifinals: 12% Third place: 3% Final: 20% plus any remaining unallocated funds. Each stage allocation is split across the hosted games in that stage. The goal is simple: creator fees and entry payments fund ongoing competitions, while $ATHLOS becomes more integrated into access, rewards, and tournament benefits over time. Athlos launches curated first so scoring, settlement, and payouts are reliable from day one. The long-term vision is permissionless tournament creation.
