Make sure you add a pic to your profile(even if it isn't you) and put an indentifier in your bio so that people know you're voting blue so they'll follow you back instead of thinking you're a bot If you start today and only half the people follow you back, you'll have over 1k followers in a week and 10k in two months if you're diligent and proactive. @SpannyTampson Keep in mind, I’m also 31 when I started weightlifting and my coaches were in their 40’s. Usually our text is pretty much logistical stuff too (like icy road, can’t come to the gym, feeling sick, etc)

@SpannyTampson I had my weightlifting coaches (current and former) number. I texted them if I need to not go to training or a registration question for a meet. Other than that it is to share celebratory drinks after a meet or to send videos when needed.

This is going to date me and I'm sure it's the new normal or whatever but Why are coaches texting athletes? Like having to remain available to a superior at all times... doesn't make for great boundaries. I'm sure it's been normal for 20 yrs but it gives me the ick

@QondiNtini I subbed at a Title 1 school for two weeks before spring break and I just saw how the breakfast, free and reduced meals literally saved kids life. For the first time, I finally see how students thrive and that the other party wants to take it away.

@thesaladshooter I sometimes DON’T want to be chat on the street or bus, sometimes I will entertain the conversation if I feel like I have the mood for it. I sometimes ”block” out the world because I like to listen my own podcast, music, and just have a time to myself.
