The movie 300 is based on the 1998 graphic novel of the same name by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley. The comic itself is a highly stylized and fictionalized retelling of the historical Battle of Thermopylae, which took place in 480 BCE during the Greco-Persian Wars. Who knows, but the picture above shows the inspiration of the graphic novel that inspired the movie and I see white/tan peeps. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ll support anyone not affiliated with MAGA. I’m a Republican voter but MAGA is too hateful and racist for me. No doubt, at one point the USA had a vast majority that was white (almost 90%), so odds were that a white person would get a role that would include people that could be a mix of white or tan, such as are/were people in Greece, so Spartacus and 300 aren't way off in the casting, but I get your point. My original post simply points out the hypocrisy of the news/media/Hollywood, who would absolutely lose their minds if an established black character played by a black actor/actress was replaced by a white, or any non-black, entertainer. I would like to see Hollyweird actually use their imaginations and develop some new IP's and place a diverse cast among new characters.

It happens all the time. This is why I don’t watch too many movies based on ancient historical events. Ppl just don’t realize how ppl are replaced in these movies because they don’t know real history. If I told you the movies with white washed characters you would probably think I’m lying. Spartacus, 300 and pretty much every Bible movie. It’s just the norm so ppl don’t say anything. Ppl are emotionally attached to lies
