@RShivshankar Trump sitting opposite Xi with a crowd of CEOs is nothing new, it's the same old dealmaker theater he's always performed, whether with Xi, Modi, or Putin.

INDIA LISTEN CLOSELY TO FAWNING TRUMP HERE IN BEIJING SITTING OPPOSITE TO PRESIDENT XI. This isn't a reset in U.S.-China ties. It appears to be Trump managing an increasing disproportionality in great power equations. It reflects sections of D.C.'s ruling establishment recognising that China today may have more immediate economic leverage to offer the U.S. than the other way round. It suggests that, for the time being, America may be putting any pretensions of containing China specifically in the Indo-Pacific on the back burner. It also signals that QUAD and AUKUS may no longer occupy the same priority they once did in Trump's strategic grand plans. In fact Trump has taken, in his words, "30 global business czars, the no.1 not no.2" to China not to up sticks but to double down on trade ties. Trump has recognized that attempts at full-spectrum economic decoupling from China are neither practical nor desirable. Which means that terms like "off-shoring" and "China+1" may increasingly look like shibboleths from a moment in time that no longer fully represents global economic realities.

@Bharatbriefshq The bigger thing is that even after years of tariffs, sanctions, and decoupling talk, the world’s biggest companies still see China as a market they cannot afford to sit out.

@AtlasWireHQ When the leaders of AI, semiconductors, and digital platforms travel to Beijing instead of the other way around, it signals that China remains too central to global supply chains, markets, and technology competition to be ignored.

@NewsWire_US The scary part is both sides now sound cooperative on trade and openly hostile on Taiwan at the exact same time. That’s a very unstable mix.

@RapidResponse47 @POTUS The tone shift is interesting. A few months ago the conversation was “strategic rivalry.” Now the optics look closer to managed coexistence with heavy economic incentives on both sides.

This leech takes the Daily Mail’s video that I shot, puts his own name in it, lies about the plane being feet away from this soldier and sensationalizes that it could’ve caused an international incident. @nikitabier - what do you think of this? Good or bad for X?
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal

🇨🇳🇺🇸 This is what discipline looks like… A Chinese soldier doesn't budge an inch as Air Force One taxis just feet away from his post. A bit closer and we’d have had an international incident before Trump even stepped off the plane 😂
