1/ Server-side ZK: your secret data leaves your device, gets sent to a server, the server generates the proof, then sends it back. You’re trusting the server not to log, leak, or misuse your data.
2/ Client-side ZK: the proof is generated entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. Your secrets never leave your device. Ever. The server only sees the proof — which reveals nothing.
3/ Most “ZK privacy” platforms use option 1. It’s easier to build, easier to scale, easier to monetize. But it defeats the whole point of privacy.
4/ @rune_zk uses option 2. 13 Groth16 circuit templates running 100% in the browser. Same proof system as Zcash. Zero server dependency.
5/ The tech to do this has existed for years (snarkjs + WASM). The question has always been: who actually ships it to end users?
That’s the gap zkRune fills.

ZK proofs have been a tool for protocol engineers.
@rune_zk is changing that.
✅ Prove you’re 18+ without revealing your birthday
✅ Prove a minimum balance without exposing your wallet
✅ Vote anonymously with cryptographic guarantees
All in your browser. All in under a second. All open source.
Privacy shouldn’t require a CS degree. It should be one click away.
We’re early. We’re small. But we’re building something that matters.
Which template would you try first? 👇

“Why does client-side ZK matter?”
When a ZK platform generates proofs on a server, your secret data leaves your device before the proof even exists.
@rune_zk uses Groth16 via snarkjs + WASM — the same proof system behind Zcash — running 100% in your browser.
Your birthdate, your balance, your vote — none of it ever touches a server. The proof speaks for itself.
The tech exists. The difference is who actually ships it to end users.

Most ZK projects build infrastructure first and wait for apps to come.
@rune_zk flipped it — start with UX, then become the infrastructure.
13 Groth16 circuit templates anyone can use in their browser. No server. No setup. No cryptography degree required.
That’s what democratizing privacy actually looks like.

Hey Christian! Maybe research $zkRune? ✳️🔐
**zkRune** brings **client-side zero-knowledge proofs** (Groth16 zk-SNARKs) to Solana — users prove claims like eligibility, balances, or credentials directly on-device without revealing data.
**For Acurast ($ACU)** — a **decentralized mobile compute network** using phone TEEs for confidential tasks (AI, oracles, etc.) with strong Solana integration:
- Adds lightweight **on-device privacy** for jobs, staking, and governance (prove access without exposing info).
- Enhances confidentiality in sensitive workloads while keeping everything trust-minimized and offline-ready.
- Complements Acurast’s mobile/DePIN focus with true client-side ZK, enabling more private/anonymous use cases on Solana phones.
**Bottom line:** Strong natural synergy for privacy-boosted decentralized compute — no official integration yet, but a clear tech fit.

1/
I’ve been following a project that’s democratizing privacy on Solana since its early days.
Here’s why I think it matters — from a technical perspective 🧵👇
2/
Most ZK platforms rely on server-side proof generation.
Your sensitive data leaves your device before the proof is even created.
@rune_zk flips this — 100% client-side, using Groth16 (the same proof system behind Zcash).
3/
It ships with 13 production-ready circuit templates:
age verification, token swap eligibility, NFT ownership, balance proofs, quadratic voting…
Developers can integrate via SDK without writing circuits from scratch.
4/
But the real point isn’t the tech — it’s access.
ZK proofs have been a tool for protocol engineers.
zkRune makes them available to everyone: no server, no setup, just open a browser.
5/
Democratizing privacy means:
✅ Anyone can prove “I’m 18+” without revealing their birthday
✅ Anyone can prove a minimum balance without exposing their wallet
✅ Anyone can vote anonymously with cryptographic guarantees
That’s the future I want to build toward.

Most ZK platforms generate proofs on a server.
That means your secrets leave your device.
How is that “privacy”?
@rune_zk runs real Groth16 zk-SNARKs 100% in the browser.
13 templates — age verification, balance proofs, anonymous voting & more.
Zero server calls. Zero data leaks.
Privacy shouldn’t be a privilege. It should be the default.

$zkRune ✳️🔐 the only truly private solution for Solana and other L1’s buildt without privacy in the consensus layer. @rune_zk is 100% clientside Groth16 snarkz made entirely in your own browser/device. You can proove age, token holdings, private sends/ swap without letting anyone see your wallet adress or history. Works for both on and off chain. This solution is basically chain agnostic since data is encrypted offline. Solana verifier already live on mainnet, base/eth live on testnet. More chains coming up

Providing a privacy solution that starts right on your device.
No third party verification
No more giving out unnecessary information.
Really undervalued at the moment.

Hey Adrian 👋 this is exciting to hear. We actually have an on-chain Groth16 verifier deployed already, uses altbn254 syscalls, supports private-voting and quadratic-voting circuits with embedded VKs. Trusted setup is done too (Hermez phase 1 + community phase 2, ceremony report is public). The voter weight plugin arch is exactly where we'd want to plug in. Would love to chat about what that integration looks like, DMs open anytime 🤝

Shoutout to all the vibe coders out there:
This Drift Protocol “exploit” wasn’t a smart contract bug. It wasn’t a flash loan. It was a private key heist.
The attacker funded the wallets a week early, ran a test tx, then walked away with $200M+, even the FARTCOIN 😂
We keep chasing speed, MVPs, and “shipping fast” while completely forgetting the one thing that actually matters in Web3: security.
Audits? Cool.
But single admin signer with no multisig, no proper key management? That’s not “move fast and break things”. That’s negligence.
As a dev, this is the reminder we all needed.
Speed without security is just a faster way to get rekt.
Build fast, but build secure. Or don’t build at all.

To reach the 500k AVICI stake threshold, holders must publicly expose their wallets and big balances.
This creates a real privacy dilemma for whales.
With @rune_zk on @solana, the community can prove the threshold privately using zero-knowledge proofs without exposing any wallets.
It fits Avici’s onchain trust vision perfectly. Thoughts?

Asia's energy crisis is intensifying:
~45% of all crude oil and condensate imported by Asia flowed through the Strait of Hormuz in 2025, the highest dependency of any region.
Asia also relied on the Strait for ~30% of its gasoline and naphtha imports, ~9% of diesel, and ~5% of jet fuel.
By comparison, Europe's biggest vulnerability is jet fuel and kerosene, with ~39% of imports dependent on Hormuz.
Africa is even more exposed, with ~41% of jet fuel and ~23% of diesel imports flowing through the chokepoint.
Globally, ~31% of crude imports, ~16% of gasoline, ~10% of diesel, and ~19% of jet fuel passed through Hormuz on average last year.
The closure of the Strait of Hormuz is the biggest energy supply shock in history.
