These cliff meshes were straight from the Fortnite content drawer from a nature gallery, not imported!

Figured out how to do Mesh Painting that validates, works in game, and works on the default Fortnite cliff meshes with a custom material! It works for ISMs as well, without changing any of the other meshes!
