@AtomicAlex3 @dreamy1ight That’s the point. Denji was always traumatized and his actions in part 2 are his trauma spiraling wildly out of his control. The moral isn’t that trauma is a fight you need to win but something you learn to live with, which he was doing before he became Chainsaw Man

The more this ending simmers in my mind, the more I'm realizing this isn't a good ending for Denji. He's always struggled with agency. Whether it was the yakuza, Makima or Public Safety, he has no free will over himself and is always influenced by someone that wants something
