v4 hooks return the LP fee inside beforeSwap. swap direction, gas price, or oracle data drives the fee value. directional pricing (think Nezlobin's MEV defense model) lives in the hook code. UHI9 builders are wiring these patterns into Hookathon capstones as we speak.
