🔥 THE RISE OF A FIREBRAND: MAYOR BASTE DUTERTE’S SPEECH JUST CHANGED THE POLITICAL CONVERSATION 🔥 Still remember that unforgettable moment when PRRD, in his classic tatay style, publicly called out his son before millions of viewers? “Baste, where are you? Go home.” Back then, Sebastian Duterte was the carefree surfer of Siargao, riding waves, embracing freedom, and living far away from the brutal currents of Philippine politics. But those days are gone. Because the Sebastian Duterte the nation witnessed last night at the RAGE Coalition launching was no longer just “Baste.” What we saw was a man transforming into a national leader. Clad in a Palestinian keffiyeh, Mayor Baste carried the unmistakable cadence of his father. The same intensity, the same fearless conviction, the same sharpness in thought and delivery that once defined PRRD. But beyond the familiar voice was something more surprising: Depth. Preparation. Political awakening. His speech revealed a deeper grasp of international relations, geopolitics, national sovereignty, and social injustice. It was evident he has been reading, studying, and preparing himself for bigger battles ahead. And just like his father, he did not hold back. In true Duterte fashion, Mayor Sebastian declared: "THIS IS NOT EVEN A SILENT MARTIAL LAW; THIS IS MARTIAL LAW WITHOUT FORMALLY DECLARING IT.” He was referring to the relentless targeting and indictment of opposition figures under the current administration. He also spoke boldly against oligarchs — the same powerful interests his father openly challenged during his presidency. According to Baste, these groups are now maneuvering to regain their old influence and monopolies. He raised concerns over issues affecting ordinary Filipinos: the lack of support for PGH, the controversial billions removed from PhilHealth, and the widening gap between government promises and public realities. But what stunned many was how far-reaching his speech became. He referenced Mali, Niger, and even Burkina Faso’s criticism of the ICC, connecting global power struggles to the Philippines’ own fight for sovereignty. He warned about foreign intervention, EDCA sites, and the growing presence of external powers seeking deeper military influence within the country, even mentioning Davao City as a possible location for a military base. And throughout it all, he echoed one central principle that defined PRRD’s presidency:An independent foreign policy. A Philippines that bows to no foreign master. What happened last night was more than a political speech. It was the emergence of a Duterte no longer standing in the shadow of his father but beginning to carve his own path. And perhaps for the first time, many Filipinos realized: The sun-kissed surfer is gone. A national contender may have just arrived. ⚡ History does not wait for the timid. ⚡ And last night, Baste Duterte showed he is ready to enter the storm. //Truth Stream #MayorBasteDuterte #SebastianDuterte #Duterte #RodrigoDuterte #RAGECoalition

Ubusin man nila ang majority senators, they can still never win our hearts! Matatapos din ang kahangalan at pagka-abusado nila sa kapangyarihan. Two years nalang ang pagtitiis natin at MAKAKAGANTI NARIN TAYO!☝️👊

By Cathy Binag: A COLLISION COURSE WITH WASHINGTON: WHY MARCOS JR.’S ICC SUBSERVIENCE IS A DANGEROUS, UNCONSTITUTIONAL BLUNDER OPINION By : Cathy Binag 05/24/2026 While the Marcos administration reduces the Philippine government to the errand boys of the International Criminal Court (ICC), our oldest and most powerful ally—the United States - is actively dismantling that very same tribunal. The blatant hypocrisy and geopolitical blindness of the Marcos Jr. administration is staggering. By entertaining the ICC and facilitating arrest warrants against Filipino citizens, Malacañang is not only violating our Constitution-it is walking straight into a massive diplomatic and geopolitical disaster. Here is why this capitulation to The Hague is a fatal error for Philippine sovereignty. 🔴 The Trump Ultimatum vs. Malacañang’s Betrayal In February 2025, US President Donald Trump signed Executive Order 14203, imposing severe financial sanctions and travel bans on ICC officials. The United States government has made its official stance crystal clear: the ICC is an illegitimate, rogue institution that threatens national sovereignty. The message from Washington is unmistakable. They will bankrupt and penalize any foreign court that tries to impose its will on sovereign states. Yet, what is the BBM leadership doing? Instead of taking a cue from our #1 treaty ally to protect our sovereignty, the Marcos administration has rolled out the red carpet for these foreign judges. By obliging to implement the ICC’s arrest warrants against former President Rodrigo Duterte and his allies, Malacañang is sending a humiliating message to the world: The Philippines does not trust its own justice system, and we willingly surrender our independence to the very court the United States is trying to shut down. 🔴 Is BBM Going Against Our #1 Ally? Yes, this is a massive ideological collision with the United States. The Marcos administration is aggressively tying the Philippines to an international body that Washington actively despises and sanctions. Are they ready to face the consequences? If the Trump administration is willing to threaten the ICC with 20 years in prison for targeting Americans and Israelis, how will Washington view a Philippine government that empowers and legitimizes that exact same court? By validating the ICC, Malacañang risks alienating the US at a time when we desperately need their military and economic backing in the West Philippine Sea. It is a reckless geopolitical gamble born out of a desire to eliminate local political rivals, entirely ignoring the global fallout. 🔴 The Superpower Scenario: What if the ICC is Crushed? Consider this very real trajectory: What happens if the world’s true superpowers decide enough is enough? The United States, Russia, and China-the three most heavily armed nations on earth-are not members of the ICC. They all actively reject its authority. Imagine a scenario where the leaders of these three superpowers meet and decide to permanently paralyze the court. What if they execute a coordinated global squeeze-freezing all ICC assets, permanently closing its operations, and legally targeting its judges for overstepping their boundaries? If the ICC is suddenly dismantled by the superpowers, where does that leave the Philippines? It leaves the Marcos administration looking like complete fools. It would mean that Malacañang sacrificed the Philippine Constitution, bypassed our Supreme Court, and handed over Filipino leaders to a foreign tribunal that ended up being crushed by the real global powers. We would have surrendered our sovereignty for absolutely nothing. What Will Happen to the Philippines? If the BBM leadership continues this unconstitutional path, the impact will be devastating on two fronts: 🇵🇭 DOMESTIC CHAOS : They are setting a precedent that any sitting President can bypass the Philippine judicial system and use a foreign court to arrest their political enemies. Camote...

My April electric bill went up by ₱1,500 and now it’s down by the same amount. My kid is home most of the time too, just reading. Not complaining. I’m guessing the cooler rainy nights mean the A/C doesn’t have to work as hard anymore. Still, I'm bracing myself for El Niño.
