Here’s a look at the latest progress on The Launch Pad - groundworks appear largely complete, ready for the flooring to go down and planting to be added, and the units around the area are starting to take shape.

Following the announcement earlier this week of the closure of Rumba Rapids, the park has now placed temporary walls up around the entrance to the attraction. Will you miss Rumba Rapids?

At Thorpe Park, construction on The Launchpad is well underway and is expected to open ahead of the summer. The new seating area will be a nice chill out zone towards the front of the park.

(1/2) Today, Thorpe Park have announced that Rumba Rapids has permanently closed and will not reopen in 2026. Starting its life as Thunder River in 1987 and then rethemed into Rumba Rapids for 2002, the ride has been a staple family attraction for 38 years.

Check out the latest construction on Aviktas at Pleasure Beach Resort! This brand-new Intamin gyro swing is set to open this spring and looks incredible with these views from around the park. We cannot wait to see the queue line and surrounding area finished off soon.

LEGOLAND Windsor’s application for the demolition of Viking River Splash has today been approved. A separate planning application is expected to be submitted later this year for a brand new roller coaster on the site, said to be an expansion of an existing land!

This Throwback Thursday we’re taking a look back at Safari Skyway at Chessington. This ride opened in 1986 and took guests on an 8 min journey over parts of the zoo. Safari Skyway closed permanently in 2015. Did you ever get the chance to ride it?
