Why did Manchester United sign off on this kit? Visual psychology is a thing. It’s important in football and goalkeepers should look commanding and intimidating in the box. With Senne Lammen’s baby face in mind, Manchester United should be telling Adidas “Avoid soft pink, light pastel shades and low contrast. Make it project authority, confidence, presence”. Kit sales is a huge part of revenue and designing with your customer base in mind is fundamental. I expect the sales of these kits to be very low. Not even my 7 year old aspiring goalkeeper would wear this and he loves his goalkeeper kits. Disclaimer: I am not against pink kits, but shade and design is important.
