AI can beat humans at chess and write code. But it still can't tell you what's happening inside a physical store. @Auki is building exactly that bridge Everyone assumes the robot's job is execution. But before you can execute, you need to capture what's happening, analyze it and make the right call. That's where the real bottleneck is. WuMart, one of China's largest retailers, proved exactly that. They didn't just add robots, but let AI handle the decisions. Grocery retail is an extremely low-margin business. Adoption of new technology is traditionally on the sales floor is slow for this reason. While the industry is adopting AI tools in the IT suite at a higher than average rate, implementing physical hardware with maintenance requirements and recurring costs will be a tough sell without an exceptional ROI.

Unintuitively but with historical precedent, we believe deploying robots to do perception tasks will create jobs rather than replace human workers.

You can remotely control robots without latency issues by just picking a destination and letting the robot go on its own. Brands pay for better placement in stores. Instead of sending field reps to check, they can do it remotely via the in-store robot. Here's a live demo 👇
