Ukrainians: Read this. Especially if you sat on your hands and were indifferent during the largest civil rights demonstration in world history in the Summer of 2020.
Ukrainians: It's okay for you to demand empathy from the rest of the world. But it's not okay for you to lack mutual empathy for African Americans. And I invite any Ukrainian to step into an African American's shoes: That would increase the empathy by 1000% over current levels.
You're sitting there in Ukraine saying to yourself: "Why should I care about January 6, 2021? Not my country." Rejoinder: Just be meant to understand that without a Foundational Black American by the name of Eugene Goodman in 2021, there would be no Ukraine in 2026.
