@yasirjawaid888 @CT_RyanMD @JasonKatzMD @Mitrovalvology @UNCSurgery @UNCCardiology @JCardFail We have found it works well. We typically use a 25Fr cannula with good success. In our case series of 13 patients none of them had problems with inadequate drainage.

@CT_RyanMD @JasonKatzMD @Mitrovalvology @yasirjawaid888 @UNCSurgery @UNCCardiology @JCardFail It’s a multi stage cannula which we thinks helps get better drainage of both the left atrium and the right atrium and even the IVC.

@Babar_Basir @JasonKatzMD @UNCSurgery @UNCCardiology @JCardFail The cost was calculated by adding the cost of the cannula ~ $500 to the cath lab cost which is $3,946. The same was done for the ecpella side (device + cath lab cost). It does not include the cost of the ecmo circuit which is $11-17,000 and would be the same for each side.
