This week Aurora Firefighters are in a 40 hour class, Vehicle & Machinery Operations, which focuses on advanced vehicle extrication skills and techniques.

Earlier this week, firefighters from Truck Co . 6 and Engine Co. 5 practiced their extrication skills on donated vehicles from City Auto Wreckers.

Aurora Firefighters/Paramedics along with Aurora Police & Naperville Police and Fire continue Rescue Task Force (RTF) Training this week in Naperville. This training was put into action in Aurora during the Henry Pratt incident. Both cities began RTF training in early 2018.

Today members of the AFD Technical Rescue Team were training at Central Fire Station.
