Exciting news! 🇦🇺alumnus Romi Poonoosamy’s short film REST has been nominated for Best Short Film at the International Black & Diversity Film Festival 2026. Produced with 🇦🇺 writer & director Chris Edmund, this is a fantastic achievement for 🇲🇺’ growing creative sector.

As we enter the final week of Ramadan, I stopped by the Jummah Mosque in Port-Louis to try the special naans sold during this fasting period. The Australian link? Much of the wheat used in 🇲🇺 comes straight from 🇦🇺- a reminder of how interconnected our communities are.
