Important update! For maintenance work, the Gardiner Expressway will be closed this weekend from the Humber River to Spadina Avenue from 11 p.m. on Friday, April 24, until 5 a.m. on Monday, April 27.

To maintain Toronto’s expressways and reduce longer‑term disruption, the City will fully close sections of the Gardiner Expressway (April 24–27) and Don Valley Parkway (May 8 -11) for coordinated weekend maintenance. These closures allow crews to complete the equivalent of more than 30 overnight lane closures, reduce long‑term disruption, and help prepare for major events such as the FIFA World Cup 2026. Canada's team is for everyone. So is our performance centre. We've partnered with the City of Toronto to announce plans to develop the team’s first dedicated performance centre in downtown Toronto. The purpose-built facility will serve as not only a high-performance training home for the Tempo, but also a hub for grassroots engagement, investing in both elite athlete development and community access to sport.   Scheduled to open in 2028, located just steps from Coca-Cola Coliseum, the facility will feature two WNBA regulation courts, state-of-the-art player amenities, and thoughtfully designed locker rooms equipped with every resource world-class athletes need to train, recover and prepare for championship-calibre play.
