@AuspiciousGuest And I say this as someone who doesn't mind simple inputs. FG devs have been chasing wider audiences with "more accessibility" for years, but the biggest sales booster has been good singleplayer content (Injustice, MK, SF6 world tour)

Out of all the dumb names and nonsense Engrish titles the FGC has poked fun at (hi blaz-blue), not one of their devs felt the need to make a doubling-down blogpost LOL "Did we make one of the biggest branding fumbles in fighting game history? No, its the children who are wrong"

@TangoBatDraws Speaking as fg newbie here, I was able to play sf6 specifically because of the modern controls. I gotta push back on this "fighting games have simple inputs" said by people that play fg. Hell no. I don't need Z stick movement or supers that write an essay to make combos fun to do
