The NBA’s L2M Report confirms that the referees made a correct non-call on the play involving Jarrett Allen and Ausar Thompson at the end of Cavs-Pistons Game 5.
“Allen and Thompson legally step to the same spot while pursuing the loose ball [before either player has possession], and both lose their balance from the marginal contact.”

Cavaliers have no chance if Evan Mobley isn't better the rest of this series. Got punked by Duren. Doesn't chase boards. Gets pushed around on D. Doesn't dunk on offense. It's round two and he's playing with preseason toughness. He shouldn't have even been in to close over Allen.
